For some reason Spain is doing particularly well on 738 tonight (I
suppose I should say this afternoon), the most consistent channel of
audio thus far. Spain also noted on 855 and 999, France on 1206, 945
and 1467, where TWR had a pretty good signal as they signed off at
2330. Absolute also g
Some early TAs by my standards with audio noted already on 1323, 1431,
1467 and 1548. Not strong by any means, but certainly a good sign.
Of course, I have to go out again tonight, but perhaps I can hear a few
things before then.

Right after I sent the e mail, I went back to the R8, only to find a
very weak carrier on 1134 and within a few more minutes it was gone. The

It's early, only 5:51 pm, but more than 30 minutes ago, I'm already hearing
hets. For a while I was getting 6+ audio on 855, but it just died as I type
this (...hmmm, seems to always happen that way!). A promising evening?

Interesting, as 1215 hasn't been very impressive here tonight. Spain
on 1116 had the best signal, peaking around 0250. Also logged Spain on
585,684, and 774, as Spain has dominated in a way I've never seen here
before. My unID on 999 was likely Spain also. France on 711 and
Sweden on 1179
plenty of carriers at 0345UT in Victoria, BC. Only a couple had any real
strength, 1215 and 1134, but no audio heard yet. Hmmm, correct that, at 0347,
there's some weak talk on 1215

Thanks for the input Neil.What you suggest makes sense. Nearly all
my TA DXing is post 2400, which is no doubt why I've never noted this
before. Have logged Morocco on LW, but not MW, so will have to keep an
eye on 1044.

1215 close to audio, rest generally weak..
Yet some good Eu signals on 160m, like DF2PY and others in the 0500-0600 area.

Just got back home here at 0430, but no audio noted. A fairly decent
carrier at times on 1215, and weaker carriers on 1017, 1134, and 1296.

Colin, they can fade up to pretty strong levels, and then down to nothing.
Easy to follow on the SDR. No sign of anyone else except for Kalinigrad, which
is considered it's own radio

Well, lots of carriers, some on unusual frequencies.
Only reasonable audio has been 1215, seeing I missed the best of Farda-1575.
Other audios have been 1134, 1269, both weak and fleeting, as well
as 954 and 1017, but not strong enough to give any real clues as to
language. 1494 has had a goo

I had to go out for a bit, so left the SDR running in my absence. Doing a
bandscan between 02:57 and 03:15 showed many carriers, especially on the upper
band as well as weak audio on 1134 (Croatia), 1215 (Virgin), 1269...which has
snippets of audio (?DLF) as I type this at 03:21. 1008, 1089 an
A clear deterioration with only a handful of weak hets across the band and weak
or no audio on the usual 1215. It wasn't half bad while it lasted! The TP
mornings have been wonderful, though!.Walt
