774-Spain coming in pretty well at 0415 UTC. Man and woman in SS.
819 carrier is there, also 801, music on 765, woman talking on 693. This is
one of the better TA evenings here in CO.
Other notable signals/carriers: 531, 585, 612, 639, 855 (man talking but too
much local KOA-850 IBOC), 909, 927 (
I also managed to bag the Navtex transmission from Greenland at 0340. I
almost overlooked it because it uses the letter "W" as its identifier,
which also happens to be the letter used by the USCG Navtex in Astoria,
OR. But the content of the message made it abundantly clear it was from

1215(audio), 1134(good audio at times), 1224, 1269(audio, prob Germany),
909, 855(audio, Spain), 864 (bits of audio, trying to coax // from
France), 837, 846, 693, 963, 819 (too much KGNW to get audio),
1008(Holland?? briefly good w/woman 0340 b

are popping up to audio now and again, but generally for only brief
spells..The middle portion of the band seems favoured here. I've
had audio on 963, 972, 1089 (Russia), 1125 (a bit odd, as I didn't have

I was able to catch the tail end of the action, making a strong MP3 of
1134-Croatia at 0353 on the new PL-310 ultralight (assisted by a 6' PVC box

Turned on the radio to check for a repeat of last night, and it doesn't look
like that's going to happen. Notice the rise in A/K indices (4/1 the last I
checked). Weak audio on 1377 and 1215, and not much else yetWalt

Interesting to watch Radio Farda fade up to fair level for 30 seconds or so,
and then fade down again for several minutes before returning. All this

my TA DXing is post 2400, which is no doubt why I've never noted this
before. Have logged Morocco on LW, but not MW, so will have to keep an

1215 close to audio, rest generally weak..
Yet some good Eu signals on 160m, like DF2PY and others in the 0500-0600 area.

Just got back home here at 0430, but no audio noted. A fairly decent
carrier at times on 1215, and weaker carriers on 1017, 1134, and 1296.

Well, lots of carriers, some on unusual frequencies.
Only reasonable audio has been 1215, seeing I missed the best of Farda-1575.
Other audios have been 1134, 1269, both weak and fleeting, as well
as 954 and 1017, but not strong enough to give any real clues as to

I had to go out for a bit, so left the SDR running in my absence. Doing a
bandscan between 02:57 and 03:15 showed many carriers, especially on the upper
band as well as weak audio on 1134 (Croatia), 1215 (Virgin), 1269...which has
