loopstick is interesting indeed. They are similar in shape and size, and
both have a single coil.
I'm sure that the E100's loopstick would work just fine in the PL-300WT, as
long as the coil could be set

can't beat that! It had no manual with it either.

I am very curious to know whether the Eton Grundig branded G8 is the same as
the Tecsun PL-300WT or not.
If you look closely at photos of the two radios, you will notice that some of
the labels/buttons are different, and of course the quoted weight/dimensions

history of making substantial changes to Tecsun/Degen models, for better
or for worse:
