While I was crossing borders (the quality of migrants is obviously dropping
isn't it?), the faithful SDR was DXing for me. An interesting lift at the top
of band as sunrise approached this morning, not strong, but varied. Many of
the carriers listed had "nearly there" audio at various times.
Although the big guns were in reasonable form between 1300-1400UT,
the most interest was with a brief sunrise opening just before
1500UT, when a number of second tier Japanese popped up. Oddly, HLAZ
was MIA today.

recording started just before 1300UT, so I might have missed
something. However, I have Juan de Fuca Strait near by, so got to
hear 4QR and Tahiti.

Um, no sunrise enhancement at all today??? Or was it just because I
had another local noise maker arrive on the scene this morning,
thereby wiping out any enhancement? The regulars were doing OK
around 1430UT, and included a couple of apparent Aussies, but the
party was pretty much over
