Walt,
Glad to hear another nabbed a Filipino this morning. Man, you guys
should have been on the coast. I was in Filipino Heaven. They were
everywhere it seemed. Your Filipino on 1017 was DYRP Iloilo City, That
and DZEC 1062 were the strongest of the lot.
Great going Walt.

Pat, if you want to pick up Filipino stations, maybe you should DX from
the Philippines. (wink). My son asked me one day, if you want to pick
up those stations so badly, why don't you go to where those station
broadcast? You know what, he has a point.

With AM band changing so much with IBOC, the noise levels, QRM from more
NSP stations, more high power, etc. It has crossed my mind to give it
all up, sell the houses, etc, and take my radio and move to the West
side of Kauai or maybe Guam. It would be easier to do as I am still on

Patrick,
I gotta tell you, I've wondered why you don't do just that. I would
in your shoes, in a heart beat (easy to say.) I'd vote for Guam. I
suspect the coast of living is maybe a bit less. Why not do a
DXpedition this winter while business is slow? Check it out!

I'ver heard DXAM twice this season, so without any sort of program details I
wouldn't jump to a DYRP conclusion.

John,
Thanks for the advice. I have thought many times of moving elsewhere,
Guam, I don't know as there are three 10 KW locals there. That might not
be too good. I have also considered moving back to Alaska, but IBOC is a
factor there.
Easter Island, too remote for me. But there are other places
Maybe there are two filipinos being heard too.

Chuck,
When they say Iloilo City I would think it was DXRP which has been
logged here in the past. No call heard, but the city itself.
