Actually, what I did was TPs on a 1-tube regen set from here on Orcas.... Which is quite easy with a good antenna.... To get the big guns on a good regen set. There are some pretty sophisticated crystal sets out there (a complete hobby of DXing on crystal sets does exist) and I'm rather sure that TPs on a modern crystal set are possible. That is my fall-back hobby, if IBOC doesn't ruin everything. Go for it, Colin!!!
