I went there in 2003 taking the boat across from Long
Beach. Had my handheld scanner, there was a lot of
activity on the Marine channels, most of it the "don't
forget the chips, beer, eggs & milk" variety.

I made that trip once, back in 1968. Flew from Long Beach in an Otter, landing
on the almost vertical air strip on the side (or so it looked) of the mountain.
