My 4 X 4 ALA100M did not yield much other than carriers -- that and it is at ground level.. Tomorrow: Something better - I did have the wire laid out for a E-W KAZ but the wire has not gone up yet - I am thinking that the ALA100 is going to be the winner. Single wire, single feed line - for now,

864 was knocking down the walls at 0348UT, but presumably that was its swan song as local sunrise approached in the Nile Delta; it's gone now. Loudest TA I've heard in quite awhile. 909 had a man talking, just after 0400UT, quite poor, assumed Five Live, certainly sounded like the same thin

TA carriers in Victoria were noted as early as 0030UT tonight, about an hour before local sunset, mostly the usual February 2018 suspects 909 1089 1215 1386 1458 1575, but some oddities as well, 864, 1026 1413, 1512. A number of others have tuned up since, but everything is pretty erratic.

When I came through the door at 0130 UTC or so, there were a few impressive carriers - most notably 1134khz - fairly loud on the R8. With this I would expect audio on the Eton E1. Others: 1215 and 1575. -- - Colin Newell - Editor
