Marty,
I was just going to write and say, if KGO is using IBOC today, I sure
cannot hear it. At 10:40 AM (PDT), I am getting S9 from KGO. Quite
decent to listen to Ronn Owens, but no hash. So apparently they are not
using it now. According to an engineer, they were having a time getting
the IBOC a
Hi Patrick, I have a friend that sends me the San Francisco ratings,
and when I looked at this last book, k o i t was number 1, and k g o
was number 2, but also remember, they've made some changes like
dropping their noon news, and certain people like Michael Finny aren't
on there anymore, so, mayb
Dennis,
The SS FMer in LA has been number one in the past, if it is the one I
think it is. But KGO was always number one. No one ever used to even
come close in the ratings game. KGO had the number one position for many
years. But times do change. I guess maybe a sign of AM slipping even

1. In Los Angeles the top station is a FM Spanish comtemporary music station.
KFI is fourth behind three FM stations. Up here in Portland area KEX is the top
AM station, but forth behind the top one an Adult
Thanks Marty,
I heard KOIT state they were #1 on the Arbitron ratings but I took it with a
large grain of salt. I see where they are now playing only 80s-90s-00s now.
Well, they ARE better than their competition (which isn't saying too much).

Marty,
KGO is number two Are the sure of this? They have always been
number one for 35 years. Infact they came in at number 2 in the Portland
book back in the early 70s. Yes, the IBOC noise is a real issue. Well,
if they lose their ratings maybe they will shut the IBOC off.
Interesting. I nev
Hi Don, k o i t is number 1 now, according to the last ratings which I

Hi all, for some time, I thought that k g o had turned off their iboc,
but I went by there this morning, and it was on again, and according to
the ratings, they have slipped to number 2, and if their iboc stays on,
they will continue to slip because I don't see how people can put up
with that hash
