Interesting, as 1215 hasn't been very impressive here tonight. Spain

Pop mx coming in on 1215 at 0408UT, not strong, but
I had to go out for a bit, so left the SDR running in my absence. Doing a
bandscan between 02:57 and 03:15 showed many carriers, especially on the upper
band as well as weak audio on 1134 (Croatia), 1215 (Virgin), 1269...which has
snippets of audio (?DLF) as I type this at 03:21. 1008, 1089
I had near audio on 1215 and 1134.
Surprised.

I first checked on Walt's first post, but heard only faint hets on 1134,
1215, 1377, but nil on 1575. I was also tied up for a while, so have
just returned, and now have 17 carriers on a quick scan. Mostly on the
upper portion of the band (interestingly just the opposite of recent TP

1215 is in Russian, Nigel at 04:00. Not Virgin, but Radio Rossii
from Kalinigrad, I think. Now I'm hearing Virgin in the background
as well at 04:01:30...Walt.
Thanks for the tip, Walt. Fascinating, in that the rest of the band
is somewhat fady carriers, and 1215 is at reasonable

Well, lots of carriers, some on unusual frequencies.
Only reasonable audio has been 1215, seeing I missed the best of Farda-1575.
Other audios have been 1134, 1269, both weak and fleeting, as well
as 954 and 1017, but not strong enough to give any real clues as to
language. 1494 has had a

Colin, they can fade up to pretty strong levels, and then down to nothing.
Easy to follow on the SDR. No sign of anyone else except for Kalinigrad, which
is considered it's own radio
A clear deterioration with only a handful of weak hets across the band and weak
or no audio on the usual 1215. It wasn't half bad while it lasted! The TP
mornings have been wonderful, though!.Walt

Patrick, I guess nothing much else happened. Took one more spin just before

Walt,
Never could even bring in a carrier on 1215 when I tried, just 1017.

73,
Patrick, as is so often the case, I had lots of carriers, some of them pretty
strong, but precious few audios. Oh well, here in Victoria, TA audios come in
only a handful of
Really didn't develop any further here either. The number of carriers
peaked at about 40, some quite strong, but other than the regulars
1134 and 1215 producing a bit of audio every so often, the only audio I
heard was about 2 minutes on 1575.
It's an early work morning, so no dawn TPs
Walt,
You guys do so much better with TAs than I do. It must me the foothills

Well once again, I'm hearing audio on 1215, sounding like Virgin Radio. There
are also plenty of weak hetsI'd say on about 1/2 of the 9 kHz split
frequencies, but none are particularly strong, or at least strong enough for
audio. This was all around

1134 Croatia has snippets of audio at 02:56 UTC. Seems stronger than 1215. No
other audio has surfaced so far. Wonder if anything more will develop. Not a
bad signal just before the TOH on 1134.Walt.
