Following is the compilation of  fatawa’s regarding making up missed fasts and fasting 6 days in Shawwal.

I wish and pray, it will be benefit to the readers and they practice islam prorperly. Insha Allaah.

Fasting with Dual Intention:

Ruling on observing a naafil fast with the intention of making up a missed fast

Fasting with the intention of both making up a missed fast and observing a voluntary fast

It is not valid to combine making up missed Ramadaan fasts with fasting six days of Shawwaal with one intention

Making up missed obligatory fasts during the days of Tashreeq is not valid

Fasting on the Day of Doubt with the intention of making up a missed Ramadaan fast

 

 

Obligatory t or Supergatory  Which Fast First ?

Can a person start fasting six days of Shawwaal when he still has days to make up from Ramadaan?

Should start with making up missed fasts from Ramadaan or with the six days of Shawwaal?

Should he start with the six days of Shawwaal before making up missed fasts, if there are not enough days left?

 

 

Fasting Consecutive Days:

When making up missed Ramadaan fasts, they need not be done consecutively

It is permissible to fast on the second day of Shawwaal?

 

 

Delaying Making up Fast:

Delaying making up fasts

Delaying making up Ramadaan fasts until the next Ramadaan begins

There is nothing wrong with making up missed Ramadaan fasts in the second half of Sha’baan

Is it essential to offer expiation as well as making up missed fasts, if a person delayed making them up with no excuse?

 

 

Missing Fasts Due to ignorance:

Does the one who fails to fast with no excuse have to make up the fast?

Reached the age but did not fast Ramadaan

Did not fast in Ramadaan, out of ignorance

She fasted out of ignorance – what should she do?

 

 

Pending Makeup Fasts:

Did not make up the Ramadaan fasts for many years

Broke her fast and did not make up the missed fasts

Did not make up missed fasts for many years out of ignorance

Did not make up the days and now cannot fast

 

 

Breaking Makeup Fast:

What is the ruling on breaking a fast when making up an obligatory fast?

If a person starts to observe a naafil fast then breaks his fast, does he have to make it up?

It is not permissible for one who has started an obligatory fast to break it without a legitimate shar’i reason

Whoever breaks the fast when making up a missed Ramadaan fast only has to make up one day

If a person breaks his fast on a day when he was making up a missed fast, does he have to fast three days?

 

 

Compensation of Missed Fasts:

Is there any other way to compensate for missed fasts due to pregnancy and breastfeeding apart from fasting those days at a later time?

For pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers who do not fast, they have to make up the missed fasts and it is not enough for them to feed the poor

 

 

Sharae Reasons for Missing Fasts:

Not fasting because of sickness

They work in difficult jobs such as smelting metals

A teacher breaking his fast so that he can keep his voice loud

Does suffering migraines mean that one is allowed not to fast?

Is it better for a pregnant woman to fast or not to fast?

 Menstruation  fast or not ?

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
