Heart Sicknesses / Diseases

Let us seriously contemplate and work on them.

We believe that Allah [swt] is our Creator, and that we should submit to Him, but do not fulfill His Commandments.

We say we love our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) but we do not follow his Sunnah.

We read the Holy Quran but do not put it into practice.

We enjoy the bounties & blessings of Allah but are not grateful to Him.

We acknowledge Shaitan as our open enemy but do not go against him, & sometimes even willingly follow his advice!!! [Aouzu Billahi min as-shaitaan-ir-rajeem]

We want to enter Paradise but are lazy to work for it.

We are afraid of being thrown into Hell-Fire but we do not try to run away from it & instead, sometimes work our way towards it!!!

We believe that every created thing will face death but we do not prepare for it, and live our life as though we will live for eternity, while death could be only a few seconds away.

We gossip, backbite & find faults in others but forget our own faults, bad habits, and even sins!!!

We bury the dead but do not take a lesson from it.

O Allah! Guide us, make our intentions sincere, accept our deeds, answer our prayers, and make us of those who are patient.

{Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.} (Holy Quran-16:125)

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims."} (Holy Quran-41:33)

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all." [Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]
