We are asking for your help! I hope that this letter finds you and your family in excellent health and spirit, by the Grace of Allah.
This note comes with two intentions; first to ask you to send to me a clear tape (cassette or better yet, a digital file, mp3 file etc.) of you doing your best Athan OR the best Athan of a member of your local community.
Second, I would like very much to get your opinion (as well as that of other Muslims) on what I am still regarding as a worthy project (NCPP), which is at least ten years old from its inception. Hopefully you recall the prayer-time paging program wed started for a while a few years ago in Chicago. We have revived the program this past Ramadan with the desire this time of carrying it out to full fruition. Attached are flyers related to the project. We are hopeful that it will eventually grow to enormous proportions (at minimum across the country), where we begin to use the satellites in the sky effectively as a Minaret - as it were.
Please take note that NCPP will be a FREE service not to only Muslims, but, to others as well, effectively all who are mindful of prayer to the Almighty. We believe that most sincere Muslims are already disciplined and sufficiently aware of salat times on their own. However, I believe that we (as Muslims) are capable of leading others (Christians etc.) into a more full conscientiousness of prayer and ultimately into the most appropriate mental mindset and language for prayer. I am sure also that it goes without saying, the untold enormous and wonderful Blessings that Allah has in store for a mankind more in obedience with His Will. So while this program may not be a big aid to already prayerful, conscientious Muslims, I believe that it can be an aid to uniting people (in general) to more of a One-World consciousness, in tune with The Will of The Creator.
It will also, I believe, enable Muslims (by The Grace of Allah) to take the lead in a manner of speaking, in obeying Allah's repeated instruction of "Establishing Regular Prayer, and Practicing Regular Charity", not just in our own individual lives, but more importantly in the life of the community and the larger society.
If you agree to what I am proposing, I would like to have your support in the presentation of this program, i.e. I want to be able to share this program with as many Muslims as possible, in your community when we are in your area. We expect, if the program is accepted, to propagate it over as many mediums as possible. If you would support it as far as making available the time (ten minutes or so) for us to present it (in Chicago or in whatever area you are in during the coming year (Thanksgiving holiday season in Chicago) to whatever audiences you would have, it would be highly appreciated.
May Allah continue to Grant you His Peace and Prosperity for your Righteous Efforts in His Path,
