Dear Chief Mullan,
 
Thank you for your reply. Could you or your office please provide us with the time of the consultaion, and if non-Muslim Arabs and supporters are welcome at the Mosgue meeting.
 
More appropriately, has this invitation been sent out to those who filed formal policy complaints in April to this or a similar community consultation?
 
As you can see there is still deep resentment regarding the police training in Israel and the way our formal policy complaints were mis-handled.

I am pleased to inform you that UJA Federation’s ongoing effort to reach out to key sectors in the municipal and provincial governments continues to accrue benefits to theHamiltonJewish Community.

 

Attached, please find an invitation for you to attend a “Community Consultation” with the leadership ofHamiltonPolice Services. Chief Brian Mullan will be a participant.

 

The leadership ofHamiltonPolice Services is genuinely interested in hearing your perspective and your concerns regarding issues of safety and policing inHamilton. This could include your input / questions regarding police practices in your neighborhood, concerns about safety in your child’s school, issues related to safety at your business location… and anything else you may care to share.

 

We have worked hard to sensitize the bureaucracy that the Jewish community matters and needs to be included. The Police Service has responded positively. Now would be a good time to respond positively to them.

 

Bear in mind that Chief Mullan has gone through quite an ordeal regarding his visit toIsrael. He never backed down despite enormous political pressure to do so. It would be a nice gesture for the Jewish community to show up at this meeting – not only because our input is sought – but because Chief Mullan deserves our support.
