Tiffany Marrel resolved EMAIL-210. ---------------------------------- Resolution: Information Provided README reflects now correctly the current state of the project and no longer gives people false hopes that they can upgrade their dependencies to a stable version. Therefore closing this ticket. I still wished that 2.0.0-M1 was ready, as I need to release very soon an upgraded version of my current project that uses Jakarta EE 10 APIs... Since having a snapshot dependency at release time is not an option, I will have to switch library for now. I wish all the best to the continuation of this great library. > Version 2.0.0-M1 is mentioned in README but unavailable > ------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: EMAIL-210 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/EMAIL-210 > Project: Commons Email > Issue Type: Bug > Reporter: Tiffany Marrel > Priority: Major > > The [project README > file|https://github.com/apache/commons-email/blob/master/README.md] mentions: > {quote}You can download source and binaries from our [download > page|https://commons.apache.org/proper/commons-email/download_email.cgi]. > Alternatively, you can pull it from the central Maven repositories: > <dependency> > <groupId>org.apache.commons</groupId> > <artifactId>commons-email2-parent</artifactId> > <version>2.0.0-M1</version> > </dependency>{quote} > But that version is neither available on the download page nor in the Maven > central repository. > The version on the master branch is still {{2.0.0-M1-SNAPSHOT}}, although > there is a {{release}} branch with version {{2.0.0-M1}}, but there is no > commit tagged {{2.0.0-M1}} on either branch. > It has been so since March 2024. What happened? Can either version 2.0.0-M1 > be released, or the README file be corrected? -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.10#820010)
