Right you are. I have pushed a fix to the release-0.8 branch. Like in the
current master, the script will always point to the website's script.

The only problem with this change is that the quickstarts in the current
stable documentation won't work anymore:

[scripts] remove quickstart scripts
- we already decided to host them on the website
- not really useful and they need maintenance
- having the snapshot quickstart in the source is against Apache
