mdeuser commented on issue #3964: Run properties.yml in openwhisk.yml URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-openwhisk/pull/3964#issuecomment-412673666 i'm thinking properties.yml is independent of openwhisk.yml.. it's a set of config values pulled from ansible vars and placed in whisk.properties. so it does not necessarily belong in openwhisk.yml. consider the "clean" operation - typically run in the reverse order of "deploy" or independently. if a downstream ansible playbook requires the whisk.properties file, it would be efficient for that ansible consumer to not have to run the openwhisk.yml playbook to generate that file.
