For those who want the DIH project to survive, the way forward is to engage
with and build up a community of developers over at GitHub.
Wrt UI, it is possible for a Solr plugin package to provide its own UI,
although that UI will NOT be integrated with and linked with the main Solr
Admin UI. It will be a self-contained UI provided by the package itself, served
on a slightly different URL (e.g.
[http://localhost:8983/solr/mycollection/dih/ui/])
Should there be any road-blocks as the DIH project tries to integrate with Solr
9, then please bring it up on the users list for advice, and we'll try to
support you.
