Trying to print consecutive pound (#) signs results in an error:

print("##"); # this doesn't work
print("###"); # this doesn't work
print("#"+"#"); # this doesn't work

a="##";
print(a); # this doesn't work
b="#";
print(b+b); # this doesn't work
