JD:

Looking for a Senior DB Architect to support multiple database initiatives
and platforms ranging from mission critical OLTP databases to back end
analytical databases, from as part of the database development team. Will
be working on multiple projects in different phases of the SDLC. Primary
focus of the Senior DBA is to support application teams to deliver highly
optimized solutions, highly tuned queries.

 Responsibilities:

Working with senior development staff, business analysts and application
architects on day to day Database tasks.

Supporting development and testing database environments and data refreshes
for testing support.

Design Database structures and designs for future implementations of the
application.

 Preferred Experience:


   - DB2/Oracle/MYSQL Enterprise experience - 5-7 years -Both as
   Application and production DBA, preferably in Utility services.
   - DB2/Oracle/MYSQL Enterprise 4-6 years of experience with must haves -
   queue replication, partitioning/clustering, REORG, Design Advisor, workload
   manager
   - Application Dev Support - Hands-On experience of Bind/Rebind/Query
   optimization/Explain support to Dev/ETL teams, SQL and SQL/PL, experience
   supporting JDBC interfaces in Java environments
   - Very strong DB/Linux DBA with hands-on experience in database
   performance tuning, SQL query optimization and database automation.
   - Strong skills in logical to physical conversion for OLTP, ODS and Data
   Marts for UDB databases.
   - Strong working knowledge of DB2 tools, Linux OS, Database encryption.
   - DB visualizer or similar experience
