Position: Websphere Admin Location: Wilmington, DE Duration is 3 months with Extensions. Rate: ALAP Requirements: We are looking for an experienced WebSphere Admin fluent with WebSphere 6.x ND. We will need to build multiple WebSphere environments to migrate existing applications running on SUNONE Java servers to the new WebSphere infrastructure. Proficient in the administration of Websphere Application Server ND versions 6.1. Highly proficient with UNIX variant operating systems. (AIX, Solaris, Linux) Proficient in administration of IBM IHS and SunOne web server on Solaris. Ability to evaluate, install, test, configure, maintain, monitor performance of and troubleshoot WebSphere applications. A good understanding of concepts related to web server load balancing and other application scaling concepts. Strong Unix systems administration experience.(Solaris, Linux, AIX) Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.(Unix, Networking, DMZ, Firewalls, J2EE, Web and Application Servers) UNIX scripting skills. Creation and support of automation scripts, e.g. log rotation and plugin migration, configuration automation. Thorough understanding of Java/J2EE concepts (JDBC, JMS/MQ, JSP, EJB, JNDI, etc&) required. Understanding of security concepts and their application on the WAS environment. Ability to follow, improve upon and create processes required for effective systems administration. Exceptional organizational, documentation and communication skills. Experience and/or knowledge of Introscope, Siteminder, WAS ND 6.1, SSL communication and WSADMIN scripting. Expertise in load management, failover and high availability architectures. IBM certification in WebSphere Application Server Administration a plus. A background in software lifecycle management and understanding of the testing process are also a plus. Working with Production support teams on application and upgrade issues. Ability to provide high-level technical assistance to application development teams. On-call support for 24x7 applications will be required. J2EE knowledge and Java development skill (optional).
