*Duration: 3 Months* * * *Consulting for the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Student System upgrade to version 9.0.* * * *Project Background * Our client implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) Student System version 8.9 during academic year 2008-2009. In 2009, Client conducted a detailed fit/gap analysis to prepare for the upgrade to CS version 9.0. Client kicked off the CS version 9.0 upgrade project in March 2010 with a target completion date of November 2010. Client also plans to upgrade PeopleTools (PT) from version 8.49 to 8.50 concurrently with the CS version 9.0 upgrade. The following CS modules are in production: • Campus Community • Admissions • Student Record • Self Service • Student Financials • Financial Aid Provide consulting/ training for Client’s Upgrade Project Team “the team” to ensure a successful upgrade to CS 9.0 and PT 8.50. Deliverables: *Training:* a) Contractor will provide training on the following topics: 1) PeopleSoft PeopleCode Release 8.5 (5 days) 2) PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.48 to 8.5 Delta (2 days) b) Training should be conducted at K-State’s main campus in Manhattan, Kansas and accommodate up to 12 students per day per course, unless the parties agree that an alternative method would be as effective. c) Training delivery method should be lab-based with hands-on interactive exercises unless the parties agree that an alternative method would be as effective. d) Trainer must be willing and able to adjust course content and speed of delivery to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. e) One day prior to the start of each class Contractor will verify that the software on the workstations and server(s) has been set up correctly, and any outstanding issue(s) have been resolved. Any unresolved software-related issue(s) after the start of class may result in a reduction of fees paid for that course. f) Contractor will provide the following for each course: 1. A brief description of expected outcomes, course pre-requisites, curriculum outline, and materials to be provided for each course 2. Labor to conduct the course 3. All training materials, including lab exercises and reference books 4. Software and associated licenses, above the operating system level, required to conduct each course 5. A fully configured virtual machine that will operate under the K-State hosted environment, e.g., VMWare, Microsoft Virtual PC, etc. 6. The Virtual Machine (VM) software. 7. Labor to copy the virtual machine to the 12 computer workstations and to server(s) if needed 8. A copy of the sign-in sheet for each day of each course 9. A list of students who successfully complete each course 10. A certificate of completion for each student 11. A copy of student evaluations for each course Required: • Minimum of three (3) years consulting experience in higher education environment • Consulting at different institutions • At least one (1) consulting engagement with a U.S. institution of comparable size to State University (23,000 students) • Experience with and evidence of working functional knowledge of upgrading Campus Solutions from PeopleSoft version 8.9 to version 9.0. • Experience with and evidence of working functional knowledge of upgrading from PeopleSoft PeopleTools version 8.48 to version 8.50. • Preference will be given to individuals who have participated in a full upgrade of Campus Solutions • An emphasis in experience with functional project planning, not technical, expertise -- Justin Joshi |Solomons International (Formerly BusinEssence Solutions)| Fax:(215)-565-2509| www.
