Position: Application Packaging Analyst Location: Wickliffe, OH
Duration: 6+ Months Face to Face may be required!! Candidates in and around OH required!! Description Immediate long-term opportunity for Application Packaging Analyst Job Duties and Responsibilities: *Create and document consistent, repeatable software installation procedures for Windows XP, Server 2003 & Citrix. *Automated/unattended installation packages *Manual/interactive installation procedures *Evaluate and understand applications and installation processes *Formulate test plans, working with users if necessary *Ensure that software functions with Windows user level permission. *End users do not have administrator or power user rights. *Identify and document hardware requirements and software dependencies. *Work with application owner to identify the best data storage solution Required Skills: * 3 years+ IT experience with application packaging for MS Windows XP * Application Packaging with Wise Package Studio 7.0 * Good VB/WMI scripting knowledge * Good knowledge of XP registry * Packaging experience on Windows XP, Server 2003 and Citrix * Knowledge of Windows XP OS internals (ACLs, Registry security, application compatibilities, etc) * Good Microsoft Windows Installer knowledge is required * Good WISE scripting knowledge * Snapshot captures .MST and .MSP creation for .MSI application modification. * Good knowledge of deployment tools such as SMS 2003 etc. * Excellent customer service skills and customer service orientation; strong communication skills, particularly over the phone and e-mail; strong time management skills. * This role will work with other IT teams on a continual basis and must communicate and work effectively across a variety of backgrounds and cultures, to meet shared goals and objectives. * Ability to build effective partnerships within and across teams; creates consensus by reconciling seemingly conflicting goals. * Must be a self starter and be able to use a high degree of initiative * Analytical and problem solving skills * Attention to detail a must * Ability to work independently and/or in a small team environment (2-3 people) * Good interpersonal communication and listening skills * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks * Strong written documentation skills Nice to have skills: * .Net and Java programming, Systernals Tools, VB scripting * Microsoft Active Directory * Microsoft Office Suite 2007 * Microsoft SMS 2003 and/or SCCM 2007 packaging and software advertising * Cisco Secure Agent * Microsoft SQL 2005 & 2008 * Windows Server 2003 & 2008 * Application virtualization, Windows Vista, VMWare ESX Server, Citrix XenApp --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT provider" group.
