Sr. Network Engineer
Location: Atlanta GA.
Duration: 6+ MONTHS.*
*Rate: Open*
*Need Juniper , Cisco certifications and Spirent experience..*
The Resident Engineer (RE) will work closely with the Customer to design,
support, maintain, and troubleshoot the engineering of Customer's network
on a day-to-day basis.
Examples of principal activities carried out by the RE are:
Assist MFN Engineers in configuration support of Juniper CPE ("Customer
Premise Equipment"), including but not limited to models, M320, M120,
J2350, J4350, J6350, SRX100, SRX210, SRX240, SRX650
Notify MFN Engineers of relevant Juniper Technical Bulletins, CERT
notifications or other potential service impacting issues related to
Juniper CPE.
Liaison between MFN Engineers and Juniper in opening and
tracking JTAC cases originated by Engineering and any associated PRs.
Assist Lab Engineers in testing new Juniper CPE software and hardware.
Assist Lab Engineers and Embarq NMS engineering integrating Juniper CPE
with the platform.
Occasionally assist Operations Support Engineers in Tallahassee in
resolving Juniper-related production issues.
Create and or modify documentation to include Test Plan Results, Field
Notices, Detailed Methodology documents, etc
Knowledge transfer and technical presentation to Labs and Customer.
May occasionally be asked to provide technical expertise for other
proposed or implemented networks.
The RE produces the following Deliverables: Deliverables are produced at
the request of the customer and are to be based on projects that are
determined by the customer. Weekly reports on project progress and
case/issue resolution are the exception and should be delivered each week.
Regular written summary reports on equipment and network
problems
Equipment test plans
Feature and functionality test plans
Network diagrams
Operations and support procedures
Router management scripts
