Seeking an experienced back end web developer for a contract position. Responsibilities * Perform development tasks in Apache, PHP, MySQL, XML and JavaScript * Integration of REST-based API-based Community Platform * Integrate back-end community and CMS solutions with front-end layer of the site * Assist in developing the CMS toolset, including automated and scheduled release mechanisms. Requirements * At least 5 years of web development experience, preferably in media and entertainment. * Experienced in hand coding PHP or using an IDE (Eclipse PDT preferred) * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. * Minimum of 5 years experience in LAMP with PHP, MySQL & JavaScript, and XML * Experience with API-based solution providers via XML, REST, Web Services, etc. * Strong knowledge of XHTML and CSS * Knowledge of development Frameworks (ex. Zend Framework) * Experience with JavaScript Frameworks (MooTools, Dojo), JSON and AJAX. * Solid understanding of web standards and IA/UI best practices. * Strong understanding of Content Management Systems. * Proven ability to develop applications across multiple complex environments with varying configurations (DEV, STAGE, PROD). * Resourcefulness in troubleshooting complex problems, finding available internal solutions, as well as developing new solutions based on external sources. * Solution oriented, highly motivated and proactive self-starter * Outstanding organization skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities * Exceptional oral and written communication skills * A proven track record of developing and launching products * Familiarity with 3rd-party ad serving and analytics integration a plus. * Experience with memcache and/or Zend_Cache a plus * Experience with CDNs (Akamai, Limelight, etc.) preferred * Experience with Social Media Application Providers (Pluck, KickApps) as plus * Experience with Flash application development, ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0 a plus. ***Please make note of my new email address thanks!
