These processes perform the tasks required to segment the store network. Analysts will monitor multiple overnight conversions simultaneously and perform pre install environmental health checks. Analysts may interact with multiple application teams, division personnel, Client's Support Center technicians, and on-site third party technicians performing the conversion and segmentation core team members. Analyst must be able to handle concurrent conversions and make decisions concerning issue escalation. *Essential Job Functions:* •Execute and monitor segmentation core conversion process •Monitor and respond to network segmentation conversion incidents. •Log and report segmentation support activities. •Follow processes and procedures to ensure network segmentation conversion standards are properly executed. •Maintain and participate in the development of operational procedures, processes and scripts. •Test and support software, hardware upgrades that directly affect network segmentation. •Perform process, hardware and software analysis on technologies in their area of support and make improvement recommendations to management. •Partner with cross functional teams on support initiatives. •Support and maintain infrastructure solutions utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide support during off-hours times. *Minimum Job Requirements:* •1-2 years’ experience in problem solving and troubleshooting •1-2 years’ experience in technical infrastructure analysis and network support •Working knowledge of Infra or similar trouble ticketing tool. •Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision. •Ability to work well within a team environment •Strong customer service skills •Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. •Must be willing to work 3rd shift. * Preferred Job Skills:* •Knowledge of VMware Infrastructure Technologies •A basic understanding of SNMP •Experience with HP network equipment •Familiarity with basic TCP/IP networking protocols •Familiarity with virtual computing, specifically VMWare •Experience with IBM x86 architecture *Additional Information: *This is for the client's Network Segmentation Project- they're doing network conversions for 2400 stores and this project will go through Q1 of 2017. Shift Sunday-Thursday from 9:00P-6:00A- conversions have to be done overnight. They're currently getting ~10-15 conversions done/week and they're upping that to 25 conversions.
