Job Title: OLAP Consultant Location: NYC
Duration: 6 Months + MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: (List the day to day duties of this role and additional responsibilities) • The ability to scale to large volumes of data and large numbers of concurrent users • Consistent, fast query response times that allow for iterative speed-of-thought analysis • Integrated metadata that seamlessly links the OLAP server and the data warehouse relational database • The ability to automatically drill from summary and calculated data, which is managed by the OLAP server, to detail data stored in the data warehouse relational database • Ability to come up with a calculation engine that includes robust mathematical functions for computing derived data (aggregations, matrix calculations, cross-dimensional calculations, OLAP-aware formulas and procedural calculations) • Seamless integration of historical, projected and derived data • A multi-user read/write environment to support users what-if analysis, modeling and planning requirements • The ability to be deployed quickly, adopted easily and maintained cost-effectively • Robust data-access security and user management • Availability of a wide variety of viewing and analysis tools to support different user communities REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (List all the skills that the candidate must have in order to be considered for this job.) • Expert in Data-Warehousing Solutions with Analysis Services 2000 and SSAS 2005 & SQL Server 2000 - Data ETL with DTS and SSIS 2005 (migration to SSIS) ; AB Initio ; Informatica 7.1; ErWin 7 • Large Database design both OLAP and OLTP (data-marts and subject areas) • Extensive experience in programming T-SQL,PL/SQL and writing complex stored procedures; complex relational and dimensional data modeling; DB2 SQL; Teradata SQL ; Oracle PL/SQL Expert complex Business Case Solutions with MDX and multi-dimensional math modeling with MDX DESIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS (List all the skills that would be “a plus” for the applicant to have) ASP.NET(VB.NET & C#); Web Services; XML; ASP: (VBScript); VB6.0;three tier application design; specialty - complex front end reporting interfaces to CUBES in ASP and ASP.NET with MDX; ASP to ASP.NET migration *Thanks & Regards* *Apurba* *Valleysoft Inc** **|** Your I.T Consulting Partner * -- *Please send resumes directly to apu...@valleysoftinc.com* --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT provider" group.
