I have four contract openings with Bank of the, NE. Bank of the West is looking for manual QA testers that have experience with HP Quality Center, experience testing in a Mainframe environment, and that have banking/financial industry experience. Qualified candidates *MUST* have experience in all three of these areas in order to be considered. **Two contractors will be January – August **The additional two contractors will be from February – September Please let me know if you have anyone available, or if you have any questions! *Top Three Skills:* 1.) Manual Testing (Regression) *Having automated testing-Creating automated tests from scratch using Quick Test Professional would be a plus* 2.) Test Driven Development on MainFrame Applications (green screen) 3.) Banking/Financial Industry background *Additional Information:* Position Accountabilities 1. Analyzes business requirements, design documents for completeness and testability. 2. Develops test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data and test scripts for different types of testing activities. 3. Performs execution of test cases, test scripts, captures test results, test metrics and reports them. 4. Identifies and tracks system defects, Performs root cause analysis of the defects and works with the development team to resolve them. 5. Partners with test leads and architects to develop and establish Quality Assurance standards and best practices. 6. Performs and coordinates system verification and validation test activities utilizing various tools such as HP Quality Center/Application lifecycle Management. 7. Performs Quality Assurance testing activities to ensure the applications and products and/or releases are in compliance with the Quality Assurance standards of the organization. 8. Provides mentorship to more junior Quality Assurance Analysts as needed. Test Process Area · Defines, documents Quality Assurance testing processes, best practices and test governance. Develops procedures, templates and work instructions for implementing Quality Assurance best practices and testing standards. Provides guidance, training and mentoring to Quality Assurance and project teams. Functional Test Area · Performs Black Box testing of different applications and products for multiple projects Performance & Security Test Area · Performs Performance and/or Security testing of different applications and products for multiple projects Automation Test Area (*if applicable) · Performs test automation utilizing testing tools such as HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management, HP Quick Test Professional, HP Load Runner, HP Service Test etc. Test Tools Area · Performs set up, installation, upgrade and administration of testing tools such as HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management, HP Quick Test Professional, HP Load Runner, HP Service Test etc. *Work Environment:* Test-driven development (TDD) is a software development process that relies on the repetition of a very short development cycle: first the developer writes an (initially failing) automated test case that defines a desired improvement or new function, then produces the minimum amount of code to pass that test, and finally refactors the new code to acceptable standards. Kent Beck, who is credited with having developed or 'rediscovered'[1] the technique, stated in 2003 that TDD encourages simple designs and inspires confidence.[2] There are 3 FTE QA's on the team now that includes their lead. They also work closely with the manager David, and his counterpart that sits in Omaha. Dress is Casual. *Interview Information:* One 30 minute phone screen with David (manager of team) and then 1 hour in-person/Skype with lead and counterpart manager that sits in Omaha. *Who is the Internal/External Customer:* This application will be used by the Bank of the West customers who prefer to use the online bank rather than the brick and mortar banks. *Business Challenge:* Bank of the West needs to create an online bank to keep competitive in the market as other large banks are doing the same thing. It also helps to expand their customer base because they don't have brick and mortar sites everywhere.
