SUMMARY OF POSITION: This individual must have extensive experience with the Cognos BI enterprise suite tools as an architect, developer and an administrator, including hands-on reports development, administration, security and maintenance within the tools and servers. Assist business hours and after hours support for servers and applications already in production. Mentor and manage the BI resources. Standardize the processes and the objects to achieve within the standard SLA. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Standardize BI processes and the objects to deliver the acceptable results in the enterprise layer. • Architect, design and implement Cognos BI initiatives • Implement SDLC in agile and waterfall methodologies and the processes • Multi-tasking on multiple projects potentially at different stages of project development • Working with project sponsors to assist with documentation of the requirements • Perform analysis, architect, and design activities for BI projects based on the requirements and long-term enterprise initiatives • Develop complex reports and analytics for various functions within the organization • Assist with the quality assurance efforts by creating and executing test plans • Create technical documentation and perform design reviews • Collaborate and work with the cross functional team and the leaders • Perform administration tasks required for Cognos 10.2.2 • Mentoring and training technical and non-technical team members Qualifications: • Twelve or more years of experience in Business Intelligence report and analytical development • Three or more years of experience as a Cognos BI Architect • Five or more years of experience as a Cognos reports developer • Two or more years as a BI Cognos admin • Expertise in developing and tuning Cognos reports for SAP-BW Bex queries • Expertise in BI enterprise standards, processes, benchmarking, and deployment. • In depth experience with Cognos BI reports, analytics on WSA, Report Studio and portlets • Experience creating and implementing BI Cognos framework manager models • Great team player, demonstrates the ability to take initiatives and work with cross functional teams • Proficient of relational databases, dimensional models concepts, and experience in writing SQL Queries • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline *Thanks and Regards,* *Warm Regards,* *Amit Vajpayee* *IDC Technologies* *1851 McCarthy Blvd. Suite 116, Milpitas, CA 95035* *Email: **ami...@idctechnologies.com* <ami...@idctechnologies.com> *Phone: * *408-459-3314 Web: **www.idctechnologies.com* <http://www.idctechnologies.com/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT RECURITER" group.
