*Position : **Business/Quality Analyst * *Location : **Livernois, Troy, MI (Detroit, MI)* *Duration : 6 months * *Interview :Phone and Face 2 Face* The Business/Quality Analyst is a hybrid role, responsible for both business analysis and quality assurance tasks for our Information Technology (IT) client applications/solutions. Adhere to quality processes in support of the development and production change management processes. • Provide testing status to appropriate IT management. • Support User Acceptance testing. • Function as the primary liaison between business/client teams and IT during the requirements process. • Work directly with clients to gather business requirements and business process flows for projects in support of existing systems/solutions. • Communicate with the clients to resolve requirements questions and issues that arise from requirements analysis. • Perform analysis on business problems and requirements to determine source and develop options / alternatives. Makes recommendations among alternatives. • Define modifications to existing systems in order to meet user requirements. • Produce quality Business Analysis deliverables (e.g. Business Requirements Documents, Process Flows, User Interface and Report Mockups, Use Cases, User Stories and Change Requests). • Assist in translating requirements to the developers and testers ensuring there is a clear and concise understanding of business requirements. • Provides business knowledge to aid other team members. QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Bachelor’s degree with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent combination of education and experience • 2+ years of experience within the Quality Assurance space, developing and executing test plans • 2+ years of experience within the Business Analysis space, eliciting and documenting requirements • Ability to execute test cases and document actual results • Knowledge and experience with writing and executing Microsoft SQL queries; including the ability to load and manipulate data • Experience in manual testing • Knowledge of web based testing; mobile application testing preferred • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft web application development technologies: .NET, C#, HTML, JavaScript • Experience in various testing types such as black box, white box, functional, GUI testing, system, regression, integration, UAT and Performance Testing • Effective communication skills, including client interfacing, business writing and verbal communication skills • Experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint • Demonstrated writing, editing, and proofing skills with attention to clarity, grammar, and detail • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Self-sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual This job description is intended to convey the general nature and scope of the position and not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
