*SQL DBA With Healthcare* *6 Months **Location - Charlotte, NC* *GC/USC Only* *Ensures the overall health and performance of the Informatics Technology Services database environment.* Top skills: - Strong focus on database tuning that is aligned to specific application needs. - Monitors performance, reliability, availability and recoverability of the databases. - Forward thinking Looks to move from a DR approach to a continuous availability model - Able to collaborate within a DBA team, and work closely with middleware teammates. - Enjoys taking an analytical approach to trouble shooting. - Works well on complex problems - Loves the use of technology to solve real world issues. - Would rather engineer systems, and not simply installing software Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required. Area of study in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. 3 - 6 years of experience. Experience in one or more of the following DBMS technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres Working in a regulated/compliance based environment a plus. Behavior Characteristics: Open and supportive communication skills. Ability to easily present work and projects. A strong understanding of commitments and accountability. Has a deep desire to continually learn, with a focus on the relentless pursuit of perfection. Amount of Experience A Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required. Area of study in Computer Science, Information Systems, sciences or relevant professional experience. Required 3 Years Experience in one or more of the following DBMS technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, Required 3 Years Worked in a regulated, and compliance based environment Required Proven ability around scripting and automation, includes a strong understanding of powershell and scripting languages. Required Proven desire to work with autonomy, as well as a contributing team member on projects.
