*Vmware Engineer - L3*





A VMware  Analyst with 8+ years of proven expertise working with VMware
vSphere 5.0+ technologies. This position will be responsible to provide
support for projects, VMware administration and 24X7 production support
services. They will engage with Dow Corning engineers from other
infrastructure disciplines (e.g. storage, network, database management) to
deliver the appropriate services.



*Administration and Management:*

·         Build and deploy VMware ESXi Servers

·         Build and deploy VMware guest instances and templates

·         Build VMware hosts for HP DL980, HP blades

·         Execute P2V and V2V processes

·         Provide production support on the Windows and RHEL platforms,
including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution

·         Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and
resolution of problems

·         Provide training


*Skills:*

·         *Knowledge in Operating systems RHEL, Windows Platforms*

·         *Extensive experience in VMware vSphere 5.0+ technologies (e.g.
PowerCLI, VCenter Heartbeat, vMA )  *

·         *Need to have experience on Windows Server Admininstration*

·         *Extensive experience in VMware Site Recovery Manager*

·         *Knowledge of stretch clusters *

·         A good understanding of Network topology concepts like LAN/WAN,
sub netting and TCP/IP protocol and utilities is required.

·         Extensive knowledge of HP server hardware and blades servers,
tape libraries, along with hardware troubleshooting, server monitoring and
server management is required.

·         Good analytical and project management skills are required

·         Strong experience with HA concepts, clustering technologies and
failover architectures.

·         Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server technologies
