*SQL Server BI Developer* *Phoenix, AZ* Must have experience in Sybase. About the role: Job Description: The Sybase/Sql Server developer will be responsible for providing technical support and build for the database solutions in SQL Server 2005, SSAS 2005 & Sybase IQ including overseeing the development and organization of the databases, assessment of performance and implementation of new technologies. Responsibilities: • Responsible for logical and physical database design as well as complex ETL (load and update implied in ETL) • Development of TSQL /WATCOM Sql code, stored procedures, triggers, and SSIS packages that reflect complex business logic requirements • Design / Build OLAP cubes and MDX queries using Microsoft Analysis Services. • Development of data warehouse procedures and application solutions to support the reporting and process automation initiatives. • Creating Sybase IQ stored procedures and triggers, construct complex SQL Queries, basic Unix/Perl shell scripts. • Do Capacity Analysis, Performance & Tuning for the application database objects. • Individual will share the 24/7 responsibility of ensuring reliable execution of all database processes. • Will work directly with Lead DBA and will be part of a team of developers located in remote locations. • Must be very analytical with attention to detail, results oriented, able to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively across a team located in different locations. • Understanding of Database configurations, health checks and database management views(DMV’s). • Design indexes and aggregations that include cost / benefit analysis Required Qualifications: • 4+ years experience in a MS SQL Server / OLAP on a Windows environment. • 2+ years of experience in Sybase IQ on a Unix Sun Solaris environment • Prior experience with working in a large data warehouse environment with complex data models is needed. • Strong data modeling and data exploration skills needed. • Strong knowledge about product architecture and configuration of MS SQL Server is needed. • Understanding and knowledge of a 3-tier application is required. • Knowledge on Micro strategy is a plus. ========================================================================== Look forward to working with you towards our mutual success.
