This is David with Sancrosoftusa * * *Title : **SQL DBA* *Location : Omaha, NE Locals only * *Duration: 6+ Months* *SQL DBA *** *Major Job Function: * 1. Automate routine DBA tasks. 2. Develop scripts using C# or Power Shell. 3. Development of SSIS packages for DBA tasks. 4. Development of Reporting Services Reports for trending and analysis. 5. Upgrade SQL Server databases to SQL Server 2008. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * 1. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 2. Ability to work in team environment. 3. Customer focused. 4. Strong understanding of relational databases and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 & 2008. 5. Strong understanding and experience of Windows Cluster configuration. 6. Strong understanding of DBA functions and best practices. 7. Communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Strong understanding of SQL Server Storage Model. 9. Understanding of SQL Server security Model. 10. Strong background in SQL Server database administration. 11. Knowledge of SQL Server profiler and its uses in trouble shooting and problem analysis. *Education, Training and Experience:* 1. Strong knowledge and experience with automating routine DBA tasks. 2. Power Shell and/or C# experience. 3. Strong understanding of SQL Server Internals and Dynamic Views. 4. Strong Production Support and database operations experience. 5.
