Perl Programmer
We are a web2.0 news portal website that is growing and need talented
people to join our team.
We are looking for a Perl Programmer with exceptional experience in
perl and DBI. Passion for their craft is an absolute must. The successful
candidate will be a key contributor in an engineering team devoted to the
design and development of high traffic web services.
Required skills:
Detailed knowledge of high traffic, fault tolerant, 24x7 websites
2+ years perl experience developing web-based systems running in a
Unix environment
Experience with developing web services applications
Basic SQL, XML, mod_perl, and Apache application server knowledge
Log parsing and basic data analysis
Required Personal Skills:
Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills
Strong initiative - capable of working on a self-sufficient basis
and identifying areas of potential technical improvement
Self-management - capable of prioritizing and executing tasks
Problem solving - ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Desired skills:
•Expertise in: DBI and Template::Toolkit.
•Proficient Test Planning
•MVC implementation experience, Perl Catalyst Framework preferable.
