It would appear that a chunk's character spacing is ignored in the current
version of VerticalText:

In vertical text, character spacing would be vertical spacing
and leading be horizontal spacing. Vertical text is like the

IT IS NOT!
The Measuring tool supports BOTH standard measurements AS WELL AS geospatial
ones - it's smart that way :).
BUT the fact still stands that _ONLY_ Reader-enabled PDFs can use that tool,
and you can _ONLY_ Reader-enable with Adobe tools.
