[iText-questions] re: Merging pdf's

Using iText is it possible to merge dynamic data into form fields, on an existing pdf acting as a template?   As far as I can tell using the acroform fields and setting a fields value only displays the data that fits in the originally sized field, the rest is chopped off and does not display on the resulting pdf.
