Does it mean that signed information (the one the hash is generated from)
includes the original document plus some information about the signature (maybe
the date)? If that's not the case, the same operation would generate the same
hash code.

and I wonder how iText might help me with its implementation.
Signature process would involve the following steps:
(1) Convert MS Office documents (Word, Excel, etc.) into PDF documents.

I'm still trying to make iText generates Macro PDF417.
First I've made some tests generating simple PDF417 but I can't decode
results from any software decoder although image looks like pretty good.
Regarding Macro PDF417, is there any succesfull story? What kind of
software/hardware do
methods seems like they were
created for specifying these parameters for each Macro PDF417 segments.
Should I split my document into several pieces and apply the PDF417
generation process for each one?
