I have an append method which is similar to the one in examples (it goes through each page of input pdf file, and adds it to output pdf file.). When this append is performed on a single pdf file, as expected, the output file looks identical to the input file in Adobe acrobat. But it has a lot of different characteristics:
1 pdf version:
output file: 1.4
input file: 1.5
2) file size
output file: smaller than input file
3) internal content
when the files are inspected in notepad, the content looks very different.
For some other strange reason, I would like to have very minimal changes to internal content and structure of pdf file. Is this possible at all? Why is iText reorganizing the internal content? Are there any work arounds to minimize or completely avoid this reorganization of internal content? Any pointers will be of great help.
