And which are you choosing? Page or images?
Post a sample PDF where you believe this is an issue.

One simple example: the PNG format is unknown in the PDF specification.
Hence, you can't add a PNG to a PDF without converting it to a format

Are you opening the PDF up in Photoshop? Are you extracting the images
and then opening them in Photoshop? Other??

I am working on a project where i need to add images to the pdf. But, when i
check the histogram of the images using adobe photoshop in the pdf they are
different from the original image. Does, iText alter the images when it puts
them on the PDF
