Hello everyone, I'm wondering if the group has anyone who is using both JasperReports (which appears to use iText v1.3.1 internally) and iText 2.x natively in a java application. I'm planning to try this on a webapp running under Tomcat 6, and I'm hoping to avoid any pitfalls before going down this road. We need both iText and a "report writer" because iText is being used to render timecards with data pulled from 7 different SQL tables and 4 types of sub-grid in a master layout grid. I have been overruled on the idea of writing our own simple report writer directly with iText.
Also, in light of the above, I want to express my sincere thanks to Bruno, Paolo and all of the other contributors of iText, since without it, the timecard printer I wrote would not have been possible, and I would be much less sane. Also I want to express my thanks to Bruno for 'iText in Action' which is everything I want in a technical manual; clear, cogent, concise and relevant. -Greg -- Gregory H.
