Your question is wrong. Fields are usually visualized using
widget annotations. Your question should read: Is it possible
to have
While Bruno gave you the gory details - the short answer is _YES_ you
can associate fields with layers/OCGs.
However, Adobe Acrobat does not provide any UI elements for setting it.
