I do not know you, therefore I want to ask you kindly to use the mailinglist if you have an iText related question.
This being said: you have sent me two PDF documents. I can see that one document was created with Adobe Elements 7.0 using PDF version 1.4, and another document was created with the very, very old iText version 1.02b (dating from February 2004) also using PDF version 1.4. I have no idea why you are talking about PDF version 1.3. Your question is therefore incomprehensible. One has pages that are rotated 90 degrees, the other hasn't. You can check this yourself by reading the PDF syntax of the documents you have sent me (assuming you know how to read PDF). What do you mean by 'the PDF is updated by iText?' Are you talking the page rotation into account? (Probably not.) See the tutorial examples to find out what is meant by page rotation. The internal structure of the PDF that is supposed to be generated by iText differs from what I'd expect to see, but that can be because you are using such an old iText version (or because it consists of pages that are imported). I don't think I can give you more information based on the PDF documents you have sent me. This is a typical 'How deep is blue' question: http://itext.ugent.be/library/question.php?id=42 Please begin with upgrading to the latest iText version (iText1.4.3), If you have a question, do not mail me personally; exchanging mail addresses and some mail is not sufficient reason enough to assume we know each other. Please try to give a more accurate description of the problem to the mailinglist. Avoid sending large binaries. best regards, Bruno ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
