Compile iTextSharp with .NET 2.0 and the problem should go away. Paulo

On one specific document, this causes the Application pool worker process to crash with an error like this: .NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.4927 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (000007FEEEA4FA42) (80131506) The exact symptoms vary depending on the platform, but it can’t be caught by .Net exception handling. Interestingly the problem does not seem to happen when running in the debugger. We were using iTextSharp 4.0.7 but I have just upgraded to 5.0.0 and the problem remains. The application has been in production at a number of sites for several years, so I believe it’s very data-dependent. Unfortunately the document itself is commercially confidential so I can’t publish it here. I understood that iTextSharp was written using managed code only, so I’m not quite sure why it brings down the whole application domain like this. Does anyone have any suggestions of a fix/workaround or anywhere I can go to get support? I understand that iTextSharp is open source but I’m not really sure whether I can make any headway on debugging it when the crash can’t be caught and doesn’t happen in the debugger. --- Tim ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ iText-questions mailing list iText-questions@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/itext-questions Buy the iText book: http://www.1t3xt.com/docs/book.php Check the site with examples before you ask questions: http://www.1t3xt.info/examples/ You can also search the keywords list: http://1t3xt.info/tutorials/keywords/
