See the auxiliary functions of the IupPlot controls. There are functions to
query the dataset.
DS_USERDATA is just a pointer that is associated with the dataset.

How can I query the dataset for a plot? Can it be queries using
the dataset userdata or do I have to maintain my own copy of the dataset?
Is there any documentation on how the dataset userdata can be
