It's not a module, it's a firmware file. No clue how to include it on an
initrd.

I have found that when my computer (set up with MythTV
0.18.1) is sitting idle, Xorg is always pegging the
CPU, even when Myth isn't running. Here is a typical

Can someone help me with tips for troubleshooting audio input problems?
I've had my MythTV box (PVR-500 based) work just great until today when I
rebooted it. Audio output works fine -- I can watch previously recorded
shows... but the audio input no longer works. I was originally running
0.3
Any idea wich module this is or how i do this.

Don't forget that you'll need to firmware on the initrd, too.

I'm trying to load
the ivtv drivers during boot using the ramdisk, to see the boot process on the
tv-out of my PVR350.
During booting i can
see the process and i also see mythtv on the screen, only live tv is not working
anymore. The screen stays black.
i've checked the
patch, and found t
I have only had MythTV working for a few days but on the second day, after
it was on for about 50 minutes the TV window went black. This did not
reoccur
until today and only after several hours. The sound had gone as well.
The first time it happened, Bryan Mayland suggested that if it happened

Yes! I had ivtv_debug=1 in modprobe.conf. I've changed it to 0 and now
everything is a lot quieter.
Thanks!

The easier (IMHO) way is to build an xserver that understands not to honor
the Virtual Terminal switching.
I have a second x server running like this with no keyboard or mouse input
(Just runs myth with the remote controlling it. I don't even have a window
manager running).
The patch I used to bu

Aha.. yes, this is exactly it.

Hi all.
I got a new system way faster than my old p3 500mhz i was running myth on.
It also has a nvidia 6600 so i figure it could do something else other than
just showing video on the tv.
It\'s supposed to be a 24h mythfrontend.
To my problem. Having both nvidia and ivtvdev screens active in on
Thanks for your suggestion. Turned on block_dump and when the disk
activity starts, the dmesg output is full of this sort of thing
ivtv-osd: OSD: REG_DECSG1LEN wait failed
ivtv: DMA Registers State: xfer: 0x, state: 0x0003 dec_addr:
0x16b2c 0cc enc_addr: 0x control: 0x0
i've experienced that changing channels is faster than the previous versions.
Also systems doesn't lockup after a few time changing the channels. This
was an issue with 0.3.6f for me.
