This is something wrong with the firmware I believe, when we go into ff/rw
mode seems to re-init the VBI decoder, so we probably need to re-setup
that when coming out of ff/rw. I hopefully can get around to that here

Without this patch, wss kind-of works for me although in Myth, 16:9
VBI recordings revert to 4:3 after skipping forward.
ive been working on trying to get the CC working when you skip ahead
but apparently when you skip ahead all VBI stops working. h

The end of my local.start file contains:

yes i get CC on recorded programs, and its great till you try to skip ahead
any amount of time like past the commercials. then they just turn off, and

I'm using essentially the same setup as you (Gentoo 2.6.12 kernel) and
still haven't managed to get CC to work AT ALL on my PVR-350, so hearing
that it's possible is heartening.
Are you using the PVR-350 decoder in MythTV to watch things, or are you
using the built-in (xv?) drivers?
