This is a minor nit, but in version 3.3 I noticed that when I generate
a key by clicking on a entry, pressing , that the displayed key
is not updated until I click on a different entry, and click back on it.
So it appears that the key is updated, but not the display.

I had standardized my BibTeX keys to be the first authors last name,
followed by year, followed by the first letters of the first three words
of the title (ex: Burnett2003MSS). In the past I used the following key
generating function:
[auth][year:(unk)][shorttitle:abbr:upper]
This now returns
