I was searching the mailing-list trying to find clues regarding the fact
that a couple of people using my james POP server were having problems
retrieving particular messages from the server.
Though i
telnet into the user's mailbox by hand, and try retrieving mail by hand. If
you can retrieve all e-mails, then turn on DEBUG for the POP3 server and
watch their client pull mail. You'll likely see the client stop pulling
mail on a particular message.

For future reference, if you turn on DEBUG for the POP3 server, you can see
the message ordinal. With JDBC that makes it easy. With a file system
repository, it isn't as easy. We might want to add a log at debug level to
identify each message being sent by its mail id (or Message-ID).
