Hi!
I am studying RMI and it seems to me that it's a great tool for
cluster computing. How many of you actually use it on a linux cluster?
I'm asking because where I work, they adamantly want to use the MPI
protocol with c++ going as far as converting java code!

Another question concerning this 1.4.1 release: how come the jaxp
packag is not included? I know it's just a matter of downloading them
from the Sun website but keeping the content of the releases identical
would help.

Thanks to everybody who responded. I have now coabs working properly.
I had eth0 running multicast but not lo so I did
ifconfig lo multicast
route add -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 dev lo
and I got the lookup services up.

Does jini work under Linux? I am desperately trying to have this
coabsgrid[1] working with no success. If any of you knows anything
about it under Linux, I would appreciate sharing your
experiences. Thanks.
